Join Carla Bentele of All About Me for a creative mini canvas painting drop-in, inspired by her fashion artwork and The Way You Speak To Yourself Matters.

Using Carla’s artwork and prints as inspiration – including Dress For The Energy You Want To Receive, Life Is A Catwalk and Always A Fashion Parade – you’ll create your own mini artwork, playing with colour, fashion and positive words that speak to you.

It’s a relaxed opportunity to get creative and make something that’s uniquely yours, whether you’re a confident painter or haven’t picked up a paintbrush in years.  Paint and mini canvas are provided!

Unwind, connect, and get creative! Join Lila-Rose Upcycle for a relaxing crochet workshop centred on mindfulness and well-being.

In this session, you’ll learn how to create your very own Whelk Shell Pouch/Bag using a custom pattern designed entirely around upcycling waste yarn. Whether you’re looking to pick up a calming new hobby, practice mindful crafting, or create a unique eco-friendly accessory, this workshop is the perfect place to drop your shoulders and get making.

The Hair is a Frame for the Face!  Join Anna Kompaniets for a creative, hands-on workshop and make your own beautifully crafted headband using recycled materials and beads.Anna will provide a gorgeous selection of materials for you to play with, showing you how to transform material into a unique hair accessory that’s completely your own.

And if you’re speedy… use your remaining materials to create a bow barrette, or even turn the smallest scraps into a hairclip – meaning almost nothing goes to waste!  Suitable for all abilities – no previous experience needed.

Your very own shirt transformation challenge with Jen Hogg, from Sewing Bee series 5.  Take an old shirt, crop the length, turn the collar into a ruffle, shorten the sleeves or sew them folded up for a more casual vibe.  A cotton work shirt is easier to work with, and you’ll end up with a gorgeous blouse.  If you’re up for a bit more of a challenge a plaid shirt can turn into a jacket, with patch pockets.  Jen will take you through all of the steps.

You’ll need to have at least basic knowledge of how to use a sewing machine.  Under 16’s to be accompanied by an adult please.  We’ll have some shirts available or you can bring your own, it should be at least your size across the chest and waist, though it can be baggier if that’s your vibe.  We’ll provide everything else you need – thread, scissors, irons etc.

Bring along your own collection of interesting bits and pieces – beads from broken jewellery, buttons or trinkets – and learn how to bring them together to create a necklace that’s completely unique to you.

Hopetown and Hunter will guide you through the process, helping you experiment with colour, texture, composition and unexpected combinations to turn preloved and discarded objects into something fabulous.  A quirky selection of secondhand objects and beads will also be available to purchase on the day if you’d like to add something extra to your creation.

All the essential fixings are included in the workshop price, including wire, clasps and crimps.

Join Mercedes Plumridge from The Great British Sewing Bee for a fun, hands-on workshop and discover how to transform an old football shirt into something you’ll love wearing!

Love your football shirt but find it a little shapeless? We’ve got the solution.  Bring along an old or oversized football shirt and learn how to give it a completely new look. Mercedes will guide you through different ways to customise the fit and create a style that feels much more you.  You could cinch it in at the waist, add ruching, create shape with darts, shorten the length, or experiment with other alterations to turn your shirt into a unique, flattering piece.

This workshop is perfect for anyone who wants to combine their love of football with fashion, creativity and upcycling.  You’ll need a basic understanding of how to use a sewing machine.

Unwind, connect, and discover the art of mindful mending! Join Lila-Rose Upcycle for a relaxing workshop introducing Sashiko – the traditional Japanese art of functional embroidery and mending.  Learn how to use delicate, repetitive stitching to give your favourite garments a stunning second life.
